    Hey Guys,

My name is Desiree Mandelbaum, and I am a Casting Director for a new docu-series about people who “Eat for free”. I was curious about freeganism, it looks awesome. Would you be interested in speaking with me?

To be considered, please send us your name and contact info, along with a brief bio explaining your specific situation and approach to eating for free. Make sure to include a recent photo of yourself and send email to: [email protected]

looks safe enough to do in that dumpster because it’s behind a grocery store.. but i wouldn’t be barefoot in any other dumpster

You’re missing the point. Once people stop wasting and there’s no longer anything to dumpster dive for then these guys will have reached their goal. Just like many other political movements their goal is to become obsolete.

  6. Andreas748 says:

bare feet? lol. Well, that’s a good way to find a used hypodermic needle…

  7. AmazGraz says:

I think they all mean friggin! Yea, I dumpster dive, but for very different reasons. But I am not anti establishment. Instead I believe in, and enjoy, taking what is thought to be useless, and I turn it into something useful, or art, or, I recycle the valuable contents. Because once they hit that landfill, they are gone for all time.

  12. supercoolsephirothis says:

How can this be anti-consumerism if they need consumerism to dumpster dive in the first place?

  13. CityzenJane says:

@greglocascio Seriously dumb – then again- hes been doing it for 30 years…but yeah – protective gear is important.. could be needles/glass … duh.

  14. unimatrixZxero says:

yeah it’s anti-consumerism but it only works as long as there is consumerism to produce all that excess waste.
