(Nasdaq:PESI – News) a leading provider of nuclear waste treatment services, today announced that its board of directors has authorized a repurchase program of up to $ 3 million of the Company’s common stock. The company may purchase common stock through open market and privately negotiated transactions at prices deemed appropriate by management. The timing, the amount of repurchase transactions and the prices paid for the stock under this program will depend on market conditions as well as corporate and regulatory limitations, including blackout period restrictions. The board approved the repurchase plan in consideration of the Company’s improved cash position and current market volatility.
