Ecology and Environment Inc.  said Tuesday it has been awarded a $ 21.5 million contract from the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

Lancaster-based E&E (NASDAQ: EEI) will provide a wide range of environmental and engineering services to support military and civil cleanup projects located primarily within EPA Region 2 (New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and the USACE Northwestern Division (including Kansas City, Omaha, and Seattle Districts) for hazardous waste, including radiological and mixed waste, at federal Superfund sites and Department of Defense facilities.

“We look forward to bringing innovative technologies, green and sustainable approaches, and cost-effective and achievable solutions to complex remedial design and responsible party oversight projects over the course of the contract,” said a statement from Kevin Neumaier, E&E president and CEO.
